Using the Manometer in Home Performance Contracting - 1 CEU


Description
The manometer is one of the most versatile and important diagnostic tools used in Home Performance Contracting today. It is used with the blower door, pressure pan testing, CAZ testing, exhaust fan flow testing and zone pressure diagnostics. Making sure of proper setup and verifying results are critical to accurate testing data during the audit. This course will introduce students to proper set-up and use of the manometer in all aspects of Home Performance testing. You will also learn:

1. Why micro-manometers are used in Home Performance Contracting.
2. Why it is critically important to following proper manometer set-up procedures when conducting blower door tests.
3. Using micro-manometers with blower doors, duct blasters and other measuring devices.
4. You will gain a better understanding of why measuring building air flow and leakage rates accurately is important to providing healthy homes.
