Description
Calculating Volume can be a difficult step when determining minimum outdoor air requirements for homes. Homes can have two-story spaces, additions, conditioned basements, etc. How is the volume determined accurately but quickly? This session uses real world examples to show the students simple but effective shortcuts for determining conditioned volume of homes. You will also learn:

1. About the process of determining conditioned floor areas, perimeters and volumes of homes.
2. You will see why it is critically important to measure homes correctly.
3. You will Learn how to determine insulation material cost estimates and amounts that have to be ordered for jobs.
4. Gain a better understanding of why conditioned volume accuracy can impact mechanical ventilation needs of a home.
