Creating and Finishing Attic Hatches - 1 CEU


Description
In this course, you will learn how to create a new access for an attic entrance. Where the best location will be as well as the proper materials to be used will be presented. Attic hatches between conditioned and unconditioned space must be tightly fitted and well insulated according to BPI Standards. You will learn:

1. About the importance of insulating and air sealing attic and crawl space hatches.
2. You will see see why it is critically important to know where the building envelope is located, and if the attic or crawlspace hatch part of that envelope or not.
3. You will learn how to determine how much insulation is recommended for different types of hatches.
4. And you will gain a better understanding of why insulating and air sealing hatches can improve the comfort and energy efficiency of homes.

You will have 365 days to start the course. Once course is complete, access will be removed.

If you are BPI certified and qualify for BPI CEU’s for taking this course, please allow 2 weeks for the CEU’s to be posted at BPI.
