Calculating the Building Airflow Standard (BAS) for a home is important when determining mechanical ventilation needs. Too much outside air coming into a home can cause comfort problems and high utility bills. However, too little outside air can cause indoor air quality issues.

In this course you will learn how to calculate volume correctly, as well as learning which N-Factors to use and how well shielded or not a home is. You will have multiple examples and problems to perform and accurately calculate BAS. You will also learn how to calculate heat loss the customer is experiencing due to a leaky home.
