Establishing the worst case negative pressure in a CAZ zone can be a confusing task for many energy auditors. Opening and closing doors, turning on and off air handler fans, mechanical systems in garages and attics – the interrelationship of these things can be confusing to the most experienced energy auditor. This session presents the step-by-step procedure to determine the worst case pressure according to BPI Standards. You will also learn:
1. The Building Performance Institute’s Combustion Safety Testing Standards.
2. Why combustion safety testing is so important.
3. The primary causes to the back-drafting of chimneys.
4. Why worst case depressurization is an important aspect of combustion safety testing.
