This session will show why a vapor barrier is needed and how to select a proper vapor barrier. It will also include step-by-step installation procedures to install a vapor barrier properly in a crawlspace area. Techniques will be shown to make sure the vapor barrier is continuous and effective. You will also learn:

1. How moisture in and around the foundation of homes can cause moisture problems above grade and even up in attics.
2. You will gain a better understanding of solutions to foundation moisture problems.
3. You will learn about how to properly install vapor barriers in crawl spaces.
4. You will better understand why crawl space insulation and air sealing can help improve comfort and energy efficiency while reducing energy costs.
