Confined Space Requirements - 1 CEU

Description
OSHA has released a new Confined Space Standard for construction projects. The new Standard became effective on August 3rd, 2015. However, OSHA has had a General Industry Confined Space Standard since 1993 and the General Industry Standard will remain in effect going forward. This is leading to much confusion in the industry. How are the two Standards different and when do you need to conform to the Construction Standard compared to the General Industry Standard. This training explains the similarities and differences in the two Standards and specifically addresses the needs of the Home Performance Industry. You will learn:

1. About the updated definition of Confined Space by OSHA and how it includes attics and crawlspaces.
2. Understand what workers need to know about working in confined spaces.
3. How to identify potential hazards in confined spaces.
4. Gain a better understanding of what permit confined spaces are and what steps need to be taken when working in confined spaces with existing hazards.
